Brooklyn is Bold Canine's first inhouse bred member of the team. Bred from our own Gunner and Lola, Brooklyn has the gene's of one of the largest Shiloh Shepherds in the breed (our Gunner), combined with one of the best moving Shilohs (Lola). Mix in great hips, and solid health - making for a great addition to the Shiloh Shepherd gene pool and more importantly to families.
In April 2009, Brooklyn was named the ISSDC 2008 Shiloh Shepherd Puppy of the Year! And in March 2009 won her first adult Reserve Best in Show (along with two Best of Breed and Group First Placements at the Toronto Sportsmen Show!).
Brooklyn continued to have success in the ring, winning a Best of Opposite placement at the ISSDC Harrisburg Specialty, and then handled by Caroline WON THE 2009 ISSDC NATIONAL the same weekend! Then, she then teamed up with Gunner to earn 2x Best Sire & Progeny by showing with her proud papa.
Brooklyn had gone on to win numerous Best in Shows (including two on her final show weekend - Brampton 2009), Best of Breed, Best of Opposite, and other placements throughout the 2009 Show Season.
We were thrilled beyond words when it was announced that Brooklyn was the Grand Victrix (top female in the breed!) with the TSSR Breed Registry AND the ISSDC Breed Club! What an incredible recognition for our "Boo".
In case you're curious, Brooklyn's name comes from a tribute to the Beastie Boys song "No Sleep 'Til Brooklyn" off their "License to Ill" albumn, and a bit of a tribute to music of our youth. 80's music just can't be denied!
Brooklyn's first litter was a pairing with Brick Chapel's Kilian. Born December 26 2010, the four pups have developed wonderfully with great health and absolutely amazing temperaments. Brooklyn's second breeding has taken place with the stunning Raiden! Puppies are due at the end of November 2011.
